Susan M. Ramsey, P.T., M.A.
President

Susan Ramsey PT, MA is the owner of Holistic Physical Therapy Services, Inc. She received her B.S. in Physical Therapy from Ithaca College and her Masters of Arts Degree in Applied Psychology from the University of Santa Monica. Susan has been teaching and practicing holistic physical therapy for over 25 years. Susan strongly believes that each client deserves to be seen and treated as a whole person, not just as an injured part. Her practice model includes highly personalized care including 1 1/2 hours for an evaluation and direct treatment time with a physical therapist each visit.

Susan has an extensive 15-year background in physical therapy education and was a full-time faculty member in the Department of Physical Therapy at Thomas Jefferson University, Philadelphia, and served as Assistant Director of the Physical Therapist Assistant Program at Harcum College, Bryn Mawr Pa. She designed, researched and authored the curriculum for the Holistic Studies Certificate Program for Health Care Professionals at Harcum College, wrote a column for 7 years on Holistic Physical Therapy in Advance for Physical Therapists and Physical Therapists Assistants , and has authored several chapters in the area of the holistic approach to physical therapy care.

Susan specializes in women's health, specifically the treatment of pelvic pain syndromes. She lives with her husband Roger in Buxton Maine.

Joanne Blanchard, PT, MS
Staff Physical Therapist

Joanne graduated from Simmons College with her BS in physical therapy.   She went on to receive a Masters of Science in Business from Husson College. Joanne has more than 30 years of experience in physical therapy in various practice settings including: Rhode Island Hospital, the Osteopathic Hospital of Maine/Brighton Medical Center and the Visiting Nurse Association in South Portland.

Joanne has specialized in the treatment of women's health physical therapy since 1998 when she joined InterMed/Generations as their first women's health physical therapist. Since joining Holistic Physical Therapy Services in 2004, Joanne continues to specialize in treating pelvic floor dysfunction, pregnancy related musculoskeletal problems and low back pain. Her treatment approach includes manual therapy techniques, core stability programs, and education. Joanne believes that this approach ensures that patients will successfully manage on their own when treatment is complete.

Stacie Blier Fedorka, MPT
Staff Physical Therapist

Originally from Fort Kent, Maine, Stacie has been practicing physical therapy in South Portland since 2000. Stacie received her Bachelor's degree in Biology from Notre Dame College in 1998 and her Masters of Physical therapy degree from Notre Dame College in 2000. Since 2000 Stacie has worked in Maine and received advanced training in the McConnell approach, Rocabado approach, and evaluation and treatment of women's incontinence and pelvic pain.

Stacie has a true dedication to ensure the wellness of her clients. She believes that the key to treatment is through manual techniques, postural and movement education and exercise using a Pilates Based approach to guide the body's intrinsic ability to heal and restore normal function. Stacie specializes in the treatment of general orthopedics, post-operative rehabilitation, spine rehab and women's health.

Jill Callahan-Hepburn L.A.T.C., C.S.C.S.
Exercise Specialist

Jill Graduated from Westfield State college in 1994 with a degree in Movement Science. She became certified as an Athletic Trainer the same year and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (by NSCA). She is currently working toward receiving the Polestar Pilates Rehabilitation Certification. Jill runs the rehab gym at our facility. She works with body mechanics and whole body training with emphasis on core conditioning and body balance. She enjoys working with people of all ages and physical abilities. After moving from the Boston area in to Maine for the Òquality of lifeÓ, she joined Holistic Physical Therapy January of 2006. Her rehabilitation philosophy can be best summed up by: ÒWe are all athletes in the sport of lifeÓ

Jennifer Daggett MPT
Staff Physical Therapist

Jennifer received her Masters in Physical Therapy from Husson College in Maine in 2001. Since practicing in Maine, Jennifer has received advanced training in the Kinesiotaping and Mulligan Approach, and in the treatment of pregnant and post partum women. She recently has been trained in the evaluation and treatment of children with bowel and bladder dysfunction.

Jennifer believes that prevention is the key. She uses a combination of manual therapy, postural awareness methods and strengthening to assist her clients to move with more freedom. Jennifer enjoys working with all patients, including all aspects of orthopedics such as spinal rehab and pre and post natal care for women. She is excited to offer assistance for those children with bowel and bladder dysfunction. Originally from Naples Maine, Jennifer now lives in Windham.



Janice Hutchinson, NABF, CPFT
Pilates and Fitness Studio Coordinator

Janice always knew she enjoyed helping people to achieve their life goals. Inspired by her husband, Janice earned her certification in fitness training, judging and nutrition at North American Bodybuilding Federations in Rhode Island in 2003. Then in November of 2003 she joined Holistic Physical Therapy Services as an Administrative Assistant. As the practice expanded, Janice quickly took on the role of Pilates and Fitness Studio Coordinator.

Janice takes a holistic approach to training through functional movement instruction with a client-centered focus. She is dedicated to helping you achieve a pain-free, healthy, and fit lifestyle. Janice believes that this approach allows her clients to look, feel and perform at their best in all areas of their lives.

Lorna Kerbel, PT, CST, LLCC
Staff Physical Therapist

Lorna graduated from the University of CT. in 1967 and worked in pediatrics for 27 years in a variety of settings. She received her NDT certification in 1984. She began her studies of CranioSacral therapy in 1996 through the Upledger Institute and became certified in 2000. She studied Lymph Drainage therapy with Dr. Chikly and became certified to treat lymphedema patients in 2003.

She combines her knowledge of neurology, cerebral spinal fluid flow and lymph flow to evaluate and treat the whole person. Removing fascial restrictions and enhancing the flow of fluids often resolves the causes of pain and limited mobility. Individuals with scars, neurological conditions, autoimmune problems, and lymphedema can all benefit from this work.

Karen Liberi, PT, MS
Staff Physical Therapist

Karen has been practicing physical therapy since 1996 after graduating from the University of Delaware. Karen started her career at the National Rehabilitation Hospital in Washington, DC where she developed her skills as a manual therapist with a primary focus on the spine. It was here where an opportunity arose to develop the physical therapy component at the Washington Continence Center. This is where Karen's passion grew to treat women and men with bladder control and pelvic pain issues.

After a move to Maine in 2003, Karen joined Holistic Physical Therapy in 2004. Karen believes that it is through a caring environment and one on one treatment sessions, that she can most effectively help her patients. Karen's ability to integrate her manual skills, knowledge of the spine and pelvic floor, and Pilates approach to rehabilitation has given her the opportunity to optimize the healing process and aid with improving her clients' quality of life.

Michelle Sirois, P.T., C.L.T.
Staff Physical Therapist

Michelle earned her degree in physical therapy from Quinnipiac College in 1989 and has been treating orthopedic and women's health issues for 16 years.

Her treatment approach uses a variety of manual techniques, exercise and education to facilitate a return to pain free function and wellness. Michelle uses a holistic approach, evaluating the whole person to determine the cause of imbalances and to treat the source of pain and dysfunction. Her philosophy is to facilitate the body's innate ability to heal and to develop efficient pain free movement using a Pilates based approach to neuromuscular re-education.

Michelle enjoys working with all musculoskeletal injuries including spine, peripheral joints, headaches, TMJ and chronic dysfunctions such as fibromyalgia, arthritis and MS. Special areas of interest are musculoskeletal pain during pregnancy and breast cancer rehab and lymphedema.  

Michelle grew up in Maine and enjoys living here with her husband and two children.

Marny Witas PT
Staff Physical Therapist

Marny received her B.S. in Physical Therapy from the University of New England in Biddeford, Maine in 1992. Her continuing education has focused on advancing her orthopedic manual therapy skills and enhancing her abilities to evaluate and treat pelvic floor dysfunction. She enjoys working with prenatal/postpartum women on the musculoskeletal changes that occur during pregnancy.

Marny uses a combination of manual therapy techniques and neuromuscular re-education to restore normal movement patterns. She is a firm believer that knowledge is power. She empowers her patients by educating them on their injury, as well as providing home exercise/management skills for an independent and healthier lifestyle.

Marny lives locally with her spouse and son.

Angela Martin, PTA
Staff Physical Therapist Assistant

Angela graduated from Becker College in Worcester Massachusetts in 1993 with a degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant. She then went on to become a licensed massage therapist in 2000, and became nationally certified in 2001. AngelaÕs clinical experience includes orthopedics, cardiology, neurology and oncology.

Angela also is interested in manual therapy, and has taken continuing education courses in Cranio Sacral Therapy, Lymph Drainage Therapy and Integrated Structural Therapy. Angela believes that the body has an inherent ability to heal itself. She feels that the atmosphere and treatment approaches at Holistic PT allow clients an opportunity for total well-being.
