Janice always knew she enjoyed helping people to achieve their life goals. Inspired by her husband, Janice earned her certification in fitness training, judging and nutrition at North American Bodybuilding Federations in Rhode Island in 2003. Then in November of 2003 she joined Holistic Physical Therapy Services as an Administrative Assistant. As the practice expanded, Janice quickly took on the role of Pilates and Fitness Studio Coordinator. Janice takes a holistic approach to training through
functional movement instruction with a client-centered focus. She is

Janice believes that this approach allows her clients to look, feel
and perform at their best in all areas of their lives. Karen has been practicing physical therapy since 1996 after graduating from the University of Delaware. Karen started her career at the National Rehabilitation Hospital in Washington, DC where she developed her skills as a manual therapist with a primary focus on the spine. It was here where an opportunity arose to develop the physical therapy component at the Washington Continence Center. This is where Karen's passion grew to treat women and men with bladder control and pelvic pain issues. After a move to Maine in 2003, Karen joined Holistic
Physical Therapy in 2004. Karen believes that it is through a caring
environment and one on one treatment sessions, that she can most effectively
help her patients. Karen's ability to integrate her manual skills,
knowledge of the spine and pelvic floor, and Pilates approach to rehabilitation
has given her the opportunity to optimize the healing process and aid
with improving her clients' quality of life.
Michelle earned her degree in physical therapy from Quinnipiac College in 1989 and has been treating orthopedic and women's health issues for 16 years. Her treatment approach uses a variety of manual techniques, exercise and education to facilitate a return to pain free function and wellness. Michelle uses a holistic approach, evaluating the whole person to determine the cause of imbalances and to treat the source of pain and dysfunction. Her philosophy is to facilitate the body's innate ability to heal and to develop efficient pain free movement using a Pilates based approach to neuromuscular re-education. Michelle enjoys working with all musculoskeletal injuries including spine, peripheral joints, headaches, TMJ and chronic dysfunctions such as fibromyalgia, arthritis and MS. Special areas of interest are musculoskeletal pain during pregnancy and breast cancer rehab and lymphedema. Michelle grew up in Maine and enjoys living here with her husband
and two children. Marny uses a combination of manual therapy techniques and neuromuscular re-education to restore normal movement patterns. She is a firm believer that knowledge is power. She empowers her patients by educating them on their injury, as well as providing home exercise/management skills for an independent and healthier lifestyle. Marny lives locally with her spouse and son.
